Have you hit a plateau in your healthy hair journey, or struggling to stay consistent in your hair growth challenge? I have put together my top four things I like to avoid to ensure I can maximise the amount of hair I can retain each month. What do you like to avoid on your healthy hair journey?
1) SULPHATE PRODUCTS
Sulfates trip away essential moisture in the hair, leaving the hair dry and unhealthy. This may also make you prone to a dry scalp and irritation.
2) TIGHT HAIRSTYLES
Anyone who frequently wears a tightly pulled hairstyle can potentially develop hair loss and stunt hair growth. Keep these at a minimum sis!
3) COTTON HEADSCARFS
Cotton is often too absorbent and can cause friction on the strands leading to knots and breakage. Silk or satin are the better options.
4) TRADITIONAL HAIRBANDS
Traditional hairbands pull your hair too aggressively, causing breakage in the long run. Switch to covered hairbands such as scrunchies for healthier hair.
